Thanks to support from Long Island City High School, we were able to take a small step towards modernizing our robotics lab with the purchase of a OMIO X8-2200L CNC Router!
When asked, student Rezwan said:
This will be a huge change for the team. Now we can design robot parts in OnShape and immediately manufacture them in our own lab.
There are a lot of perks to a CNC Router. Including but not limited to:
- Rapid prototyping
- Easier iteration
- Students learning advanced manufacturing techniques
